< Advanced Service Attributes < Service Item Default Time

You can set a default time for a job so that, when you add an item to your Service Order, it will be scheduled at the default time. You can amend the time when adding a job to a service order or change it using the edit jobs function if you want it to be carried out at a different time to the default.
 

When you add a new service item, the default time will be 12.00pm (noon), unless you copy from an existing service item, in which case the default time of the new item will be the same as that of the service item you copy from.

 

You can use the default time to control where the services appear in the Diary. For example, it may suit your pet sitting business to have all the walking, day care and visits services appearing in the morning, midday and afternoon columns, and keep the evening or right-hand column for boarding or overnights. By setting these services at, say, 8:00 pm they will always appear in the evening column.

 

Note: The Default Time option is only available on the Standard, All Day and Anytime time types. If you have set the Standard time type, the default time you choose here will show in the client portal, although with the Standard time type your client will be able to choose a different time using the drop down menu options.

Navigate to Admin > Services > Service Items > Advanced

How do I set the default time for a service item?

  • Click on the service item you wish to edit.

  • Click "Advanced" from the menu.

  • Click the drop down menu by Default Time and select the appropriate hours and minutes for the service to appear in the Schedule based on the time of day/evening or columns in Column View and Compact View. Don't forget to change the 'am' and 'pm' option too.

  • Click "Update" to save.

ON MOBILE:

  • Tap the Navigator, and select Admin > Services > Service Items > Advanced

STEP 2

  • Tap the service you wish to edit.

STEP 3

  • Tap the "Advanced" menu.

STEP 4

  • Tap the drop down menu by Default Time and select the appropriate hours and minutes for the service to appear in the Schedule based on the time of day/evening or columns in Column View and Compact View. Don't forget to change the 'am' and 'pm' option too.

  • Tap "Update" to save.
